(KSL News) A team of specialists today are removing explosives discovered in Park City.
On Monday, construction workers found cases of old dynamite in an abandoned mining site near Empire Pass. No one was hurt, but the explosives need to be removed.
So today a company will neutralize the dynamite with chemicals and take it to a safe zone to burn.
Roads are open, but trails within Empire Pass are closed.
Park City leaders say right now it's unknown how long this process will take.
