Davis County tax reappraisals nearly finished

Tom Callan reportingWhat a difference a year can make, especially in southern Davis County, when it comes to tax assessments on your home.

Though he says he's sure the county will get some complaints, Davis County property appraiser John Ulibarri doesn't expect anything like last year's uproar when homeowners opened their tax notices.

"We did a greater amount of reappraisal this year, so more people will see an increase. So, there's a potential for more questions," Ulibarri said.

He says some assessments will go down; others up, but no more than 10 percent.

Starting in 2011, all residential areas of the county will be assessed annually.
