FARMINGTON, Utah (AP) -- The number of Davis County residents to appeal their property valuations has more than doubled.
About 5,700 residents filed property valuation appeals this year. That's up from about 2,600 appeals last year.
Davis County officials say the appeal applications have come from every section of the county.
Typically, more appeal applications are approved than denied.
Through Tuesday, the Board of Equalization had approved 261 appeal applications and denied 27.
