SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- The wife of an El Dorado County man who went missing a month ago is awaiting extradition from Utah.
Patricia Presba, 47, was arrested by Salt Lake City police on Friday after state police spotted her friend's car in the parking lot of a Motel 6. The car's owner, 21-year-old Jaime Ramos, also was arrested.
Ronald Presba, 54, had been reported missing June 24 by his wife. El Dorado County authorities found his burned-out vehicle at the bottom of a ravine hours later while responding to a wildfire.
They found human remains in the passenger seat, but an autopsy and dental records failed to positively identify the body.
The case took a turn July 24 when a friend reported Patricia Presba missing from her home in Georgetown, an enclave in the Sierra foothills northeast of Sacramento.
