Amber Alert issued, then canceled, for non-family abduction out of South Salt Lake

SOUTH SALT LAKE — An Amber Alert was issued Friday afternoon for a non-family abduction that happened in South Salt Lake the day before. However, the alert was canceled shortly after. The suspect in the abduction was identified as Erika Lynn Marsh, described as 5-foot-4 and 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was driving a white Ford. Shaun Ward with the South Salt Lake Police Department said the abduction occurred at 9:35 p.m. on Thursday at 3850 West Temple. Marsh's criminal history appears to include convictions for drug possession, joyriding, providing false personal information, criminal mischief and escape from custody. Utah Amber Alert asked anyone with information to dial 911 or call 801-840-4000. This story will be updated.
