GARLAND, Box Elder County — Two people suffered injuries after a crash on state Route 30 in Box Elder County on Friday afternoon.

The crash took place about 1:30 p.m. near Garland, according to the Garland Fire Department.

Emergency crews responded to a head-on crash involving two cars, the fire department said. One person was extricated from each car. They were both transported to hospitals, one in an ambulance and one in a medical helicopter, according to the fire department.

The conditions of the two people weren't available Friday evening.

The Utah Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Further details weren't released.
