SALT LAKE CITY — One person has died after a stabbing in Liberty Park on Sunday afternoon, according to police.
The stabbing was first reported just before 1:30 p.m. at Liberty Park in downtown Salt Lake City.
Salt Lake police confirmed that they took a man who is possibly in his mid-20s into custody in connection with the stabbing. He is believed to be the person who stabbed the victim, according to police.
The person who was stabbed may also be a man in his mid-20s, police said.
The incident is still under investigation and the park remains open.
