SALT LAKE CITY — One person was killed Monday in a hit-and-run crash in Salt Lake City.
The crash occurred about 8:50 a.m. near 551 W. 300 South, police said in a tweet.
Officers on an unrelated call nearby heard the crash and immediately responded. Despite the medical aid provided by officers, the victim died on scene, police said.
The driver fled the scene, according to the tweet. Police are searching for a silver 2013 Subaru Impreza station wagon with license plate number U77OCA. The station wagon has heavy damage to its front end, police said.
