Dean Bogarde has been appointed Vice President of Worldwide Professional Services and Andrew Byrne has been appointed Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Both executives will report to David Ratner, president and CEO of Openwave Messaging.

As Vice President, Worldwide Professional Services, Dean Bogarde leads Openwave Messaging's professional services teams around the world, with a focus on delivering successful deployments and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Andrew Byrne, Openwave Messaging’s new Vice President of Worldwide Sales will lead global sales efforts to secure new customers, expand the company’s mailbox footprint, increase market share, and continue to drive long-term successful relationships with existing customers.

The new executive appointments follow Openwave Messaging’s announcement last December 2013, that it had acquired Critical Path, Inc. The newly combined company is the undisputed global market leader for white-label messaging systems with over 400 million mailboxes installed worldwide and a 35% market share from named software vendors. The Company has continued to build momentum with a new security product announcement in early February for .

New Executive Team Bios

Dean Bogarde has over two decades of technology consulting experience and has lead teams around the world in the delivery of professional services across a variety of industries, including manufacturing, information technology, financial services, and the public sector. Prior to joining Openwave Messaging, Bogarde was Senior Director of Professional Services for Guidance Software. Before Guidance, he worked at Infor Global Solutions where he was Senior Director of Consulting Services and Professional Services Director, and was responsible for managing and growing multiple ERP consulting practices across the globe.

Over the last decade, Andrew Byrne developed a deep expertise and knowledge of both the telecom and software industries, and has built a record of success in various sales positions. Byrne was Vice President of Sales in charge of global channels and global messaging and email at Banyan Systems, a leader in email and communications. Before joining Openwave Messaging, Byrne was Vice President of Global Accounts for Infor Global Solutions. Byrne also held various many management positions at Infor Global Solutions including Vice President of Process Sales and Vice President of Manufacturing Sales.
