SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Chile have delivered six tons of food from local bishops' storehouses to the city of Talca to help victims of a massive earthquake.
A second shipment of 20 tons of food was expected to reach Concepcion on Wednesday and two additional food shipments have been sent to areas south of Concepcion.

Church leaders say food, water, tents, blankets, hygiene kits and sleeping mats are needed to assist people in the region.
Resources from the Church Humanitarian Aid Fund are used to support worldwide church activities to help the needy.
More than a half-million members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints live in Chile.
