SOUTH SALT LAKE -- One person died in a three-car crash Monday morning in South Salt Lake.
Police say a pickup truck ran a stop sign at the intersection of 3500 South and Main Street, and slammed into a Ford Escort. Another SUV ricocheted off those cars, sending it onto the sidewalk and into a business.
The crash shut down traffic in the area for nearly four hours.
The drivers of the pickup and the Escort were taken to the hospital in critical condition, where the 52-year-old driver of the Escort later died.
So far, no charges have been filed.
