(KSL News) Federal agents have traced the handgun used by Trolley Square shooter Sulejman Talovic to its original owner and are now trying to figure out how it ended up with Talovic.
Agent Lori Dyer told the Deseret Morning News the handgun was initially purchased out of state, but she couldn't say when. She did say it had changed hands at least a couple of times.
Talovic legally purchased the shotgun he also used in the shootings. He bought that weapon last November, five weeks after his 18th birthday.
The Deseret Morning News also reports police are questioning witnesses again about what they saw or heard during the shootings.
