(KSL News) The Ogden City Police Department has determined Officer Ken Hammond acted appropriately when he engaged in a gunfight with the young man who opened fire at Trolley Square.
Hammond was dining with his wife on February 12 when 18-year-old Sulejmen Talovic shot nine people, killing five. Hammond went after Talovic and likely saved lives. Talovic died in the shootout.
Hammond can now return to work as a traffic officer.
Four Salt Lake City police officers also involved in the shootout have already been cleared and have returned to work.
