(KSL News) A bill that would have banned ticket quotas failed to pass a committee.
The proposed bill would have kept police captains from telling officers to write a certain number of tickets each day. Opposers of the bill tell the Deseret Morning News there is no quota system in place, calling it a myth.
Senator Scott McCoy, who voted for it, says he will try to broker a compromise to bring it back.
