SALT LAKE CITY -- The Utah Department of Transportation says construction on Interstate 80 through the Sugar House area should be done in about a month.
The massive widening project and bridge replacement seems to have lasted for ever residents like Holly Robles.
"It's miserable," she says. "The construction everywhere is miserable."
Trying to get in to the Shopko or Olive Garden parking lots can be a gamble as drivers flip around to get on to I-80.
Now UDOT says hang in there for just a little longer. By Thanksgiving this should be done.
"That's perfect, because everybody will be coming and going," Robles says.
The highway will have four lanes in each direction with an extra lane to travel exit-to-exit without having to merge in with traffic.
Crews have to finish up the median wall, overhead signage and work around 1300 East before the project is finished.
