NEVADA -- Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, (D-Nev.) is allegedly criticizing the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for backing a California ballot measure banning same sex marriage.
Gay rights activist who met with Reid last week told the Salt Lake Tribune he stated the church should have stayed out of the fight over Proposition 8.
A spokesperson for Reid would not talk about what he said during the closed door meeting.
