DAGGETT COUNTY -- Cell phone service in a remote area helped saved a man who rolled his ATV.
Fifty-seven-year-old Steve Smith and his wife were riding near the Jesse Ewing Canyon Saturday afternoon.
Daggett County sheriff's officials say Smith went down a steep embankment and ended up being pinned under his six-wheeler. He was there for nearly an hour before his wife was able to get cell service to make a call. Crews arrived a short time later.
Smith was flown to Salt Lake to treat broken ribs, a broken leg and possible internal injuries.
