PROVO, Utah (AP) -- Trees lost at Provo's East Bay golf course during a storm in August will soon be replaced.

The City Council recently approved $10,000 to replace the damaged trees. The golf course lost more than 130 trees during the supercell storm on August first.

Meanwhile, council members also approved free golf for the city's high school golf teams. Up to 12 players on each of the teams at Timpview and Provo high school will be allowed to play for free, but only during the school's golf season.

The city refused to allow team members to play for free year-round. That's because of the expense and because there would be no way to prove who was a player when the teams weren't in season.
