(KSL News) -- A Midvale man pleaded guilty to killing his best friend by running him over with a car.
Lawyers for James C. Gonzales said he did not mean to kill Bradley Johnson, but was trying to help him while Johnson was fighting with another man. However, Gonzales is legally blind and missed his intended target, striking Johnson.
He pleaded guilty to reduced charges of homicide by assault. In exchange prosecutors dropped murder charges.
