SALT LAKE CITY -- A gas leak broke out Saturday morning in the parking lot of the ARUP Laboratory buildings near the University of Utah.

Questar Gas officials say the leak occurred at 580 S. Chipeta Way. Organizers of a special event punctured a buried natural gas line while nailing tents into the ground.

No one noticed the leak; however, until organizers began taking down the tents around 11 a.m.

The Salt Lake City Fire Department blocked off a lot of the area as a precaution.

Questar Gas stopped the leak and replaced the gas line. There were no injuries.
