SALT LAKE CITY -- A 78-year-old woman lost control of her car and slammed into a house in Salt Lake City.

Police say the woman may have a medical condition.

The woman was traveling westbound near 100 South and University Street around 12:30 p.m. when she crossed into eastbound traffic, went through one yard then into the house on University St.

There was no significant damage to the house, but the woman was pinned in her car until fire fighters were able to get her out.

She was taken to the hospital. Her condition is unknown at this time.
