SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The University of Utah is promoting an associate dean to run the David Eccles School of Business.

Taylor Randall, associate dean of academic affairs at the business school, will take over for Jack Brittain, who has been working as both dean and the university's vice president for technology development.

Brittain has been business school dean since 1999. Randall will take over on July 1.

Randall received his undergraduate degree at the University of Utah and his master's and doctorate from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
