KAMAS -- He says he was just trying to make a point about bicyclists blocking the road, but that didn't matter to the judge who sentenced a Kamas man to 30 days in jail.

Alexander Jason Barto says he was just trying to ask the bicyclists to ride single file last August when he inadvertently hit one of them, causing minor injuries to the man and destroying the bike.

Barto pleaded guilty to third-degree felony aggravated assault in connection with the crash. In exchange, two misdemeanor charges were dismissed.

In addition to the jail time, Barto must also take an anger management course and pay $13,000 in restitution to the cyclist he hit.
