(KSL News) -- When county voters hit the polls, they were in a generous mood with their money.
Proposition 3 won the hearts of voters almost two to one.
The sales tax increase will now accelerate the building of four new TRAX lines, a commuter rail through Salt Lake County to Point of the Mountain, a new expressway on the west side of Salt Lake County, and expanded roads and highways.
YES on an opinion vote in Utah County also showed overwhelming support to expand Frontrunner commuter rail in to that county as well.
