NEW YORK, Nov. 6, 2006 -- Carlos Boozer today was named the Western Conference Players of the Week for games played Tuesday, Oct. 31 through Sunday, Nov. 5.

Boozer led the Jazz to a 3-0 record, averaging 20.7 points on .500 shooting and 15 rebounds and currently leads the league in rebounding (15.0 rpg) and is averaging 5.7 more boards over last season. Boozer recorded three double-doubles on the week and led the Jazz in both scoring (20.7) and rebounds. In addition, he helped Utah defeat the Suns in Phoenix for the first time since the 2003-04 season, leading the team back from a 15-point deficit in the second half.

Here is a closer look at the week for Boozer:

Nov. 1 vs. Houston: Posted a double-double of 24 points and 19 rebounds in a 107-97 win over the Rockets.

Nov. 3 at Phoenix: Led his team in scoring with 21 points on 7-of-15 shooting while tallying 12 rebounds and dishing out three assists in a 108-104 come from behind road win over the Suns.

Nov. 4 vs. Golden State: Recorded his third double-double of the week with 17 points and 14 rebounds in a 106-82 win over the Warriors.
