SALT LAKE CITY -- Newly released documents reveal that a building in Salt Lake City may have been a target for terrorism.

The building housing the U.S. Attorney's Office for Utah on 200 South and State Street in Salt Lake City was one of several across the country.

A letter to the FBI warned that the building was going to be hit June 19, 1995. The letter came just days after the Oklahoma City bombing, saying Salt Lake, Las Vegas, Chicago, Pittsburgh and Raleigh were next on the list.

A memo about the threat was just released to Utah attorney Jesse Trentadue, who is investigating the Oklahoma City bombing.

The FBI won't comment on it, but apparently the letter came from California and claimed Libya, Iran and Bulgaria were behind the plot. The Deseret News reports the letter was postmarked April 24, 1995.
