Whit Johnson Reporting The search is on for a family who may have buried their nine-month-old baby somewhere in Utah County. They may also be attempting to leave the country.
Authorities are calling this a very strange case, with plenty of unanswered questions. Authorities hope more people will come forward so they can locate this baby girl and her parents, and find out exactly what happened.
The parents are Baldemar Reyes Espino and Yudit Nava Lopez. Yesterday multiple people who knew the family contacted police and told them that the family buried their nine-month-old baby girl somewhere in Southern Utah County and are fleeing to Mexico with two other young children.
Police say they do not have reason to believe that those other children are in danger and say the people who have come forward to help the case are credible.
The couple is believed to be driving a 1991 GMC pickup truck with Utah plate number 377 MNM.
Lt. Darren Gilbert, Utah County Sheriff's Office: "We don't know exactly what happened, when it happened or how it happened. Right now we are asking for the media's help locating the parents. Hopefully they can answer some of those questions for us and bring closure to this incident."
