(KSL News) Cash keeps flowing to Utah's state treasury, as tax revenue grows higher than expected.
According to the Utah State Tax Commission, the treasury has $1.6 billion. A report shows 13 percent more tax revenue this year, over last. That's an increase of over $500-million.
It's just another sign that Utah's economy is hot, with one of the lowest unemployment rates in the nation and an increase in job growth.
Corporate income taxes are up 43 percent in just the first quarter of the state's fiscal year, which amounts to more than $100 million.
