(KSL News) Fire tore through two Spanish Fork homes overnight.
Neighbor Kari Bell said, "The flames were just insane. I was pretty much scared."
The fire started around 3 a.m. under a carport of one of the homes. The fast moving flames spread through the home and onto the neighboring house.
Both families were able to get out safely but are unable to return home.
Neighbor Ronald Bell said, "You're concerned, worried that they'll be able to put their lives back in order. You're there for their support, to support them for whatever they need."
Damage to the homes is estimated to be more than $300,000. Friends and neighbors have set up a donation fund in the families' names at Zions Bank. The accounts are in the names of the Holdaway family and the Jared Terry family.
The cause is under investigation.
