(KSL News) Utah's newest congressman, Jason Chaffetz, braved a sarcastic and playful interview from Comedy Central's Stephen Colbert.
Tuesday night, on Comedy Central's popular political talk show, "The Colbert Report," Chaffetz tried to answer a series of playful questions from host Stephen Colbert.
In the six minute segment called "Know your District," known for poking fun at lawmakers, Chaffetz, who represents Utah's 3rd Congressional District, talked about his district's young median age, diversity, his take on illegal immigration and his right to bear arms. He even squared off against Colbert in a leg-wrestling match.
Chaffetz is a first time representative, having defeated incumbent Chris Cannon in the primary elections in June, 2008 and democrat Bennion Spencer in November's general elections.
