(KSL News) -- Major Utah businesses met together to evaluate how they would be able to work together in the event of a disaster.
Members of the Coalition for Utah's future brought together representatives from gas, electric and water companies.
The companies worked through mock disasters to determine ways to adjust their individual preparedness plans.
Robert Grow, Coalition for Utah's Future: "Bringing them together helps them find and identify gaps and make certain they can function together as a sophisticated, confident team in the event of a disaster."
Companies worked through the possibilities of two separate disasters -- a 7.0 earthquake and a flu pandemic.
Medical representatives say companies need to have a plan in case the majority of their workforce is sick and can't work.
