LAKE POINT, Tooele County — A man died Saturday night after his car rolled over off I-80 into a retention pond.

The man was driving at high speed at 7:05 p.m. when he lost control of his vehicle while exiting I-80 westbound near Lake Point, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety.

The car rolled over into a retention pond, according to DPS.

The man, 35, was taken by helicopter to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Further information on the man wasn't made immediately available.
