PARK CITY — Two men living in Park City are accused of selling cocaine to teenagers.
Andre Josiah Lopez, 24, and Gregory Lee Williams, 23, were each charged Monday in 3rd District Court with production of a controlled substance, a first-degree felony, and child endangerment, a third-degree felony.
The investigation began in February when the parents of a 16-year-old boy called the Summit County Sheriff's Office after learning their son "had been buying and using cocaine," according to charging documents. When deputies spoke to the teen, he "revealed that (he) and other high school-aged friends had purchased cocaine from Andre Lopez and Gregory Williams numerous times over the course of the preceding four months."
A baggie with white powder residue was seized by police from the teen and tested positive for cocaine.
When investigators talked to the teen a second time, he said he had purchased cocaine from Lopez and Williams "approximately 40 to 50 times between November 2025 and February 2026. He said he was not the only juvenile who purchased from those two. He said he was aware of several other juveniles who also purchased cocaine from the dealers," a police booking affidavit adds.
Deputies learned the teens would pay for the drugs using Venmo and Apple Cash and "that when they used Venmo, they would put the pizza emoji in the comments. He said this signified the purchase was for cocaine," the affidavit states.
Investigators learned the drugs were being mailed to Utah from California. U.S. postal inspectors told deputies that packages "were arriving at the address approximately every 10 days" from November to February, according to the affidavit. "Postal inspectors informed me that there was currently a trend of drug trafficking through the United States Postal Service coming from (the Stockton, California, area).
"According to postal inspectors, the packages being sent from California suddenly stopped at the end of February."
An adult who also claimed he had purchased cocaine from Lopez and Williams told police about a teen who had to be taken to the hospital after buying drugs from the men and using them.
"He told me he had told the two they should not be selling to minors because someone could die from taking their drugs," the affidavit states.
Both men were arrested on Thursday after a search warrant was served on their apartment.
