- Damien Marco Flores, 18, was arrested in connection with a triple shooting investigation in South Salt Lake.
- Flores, a documented gang member, was arrested for investigation of aggravated assault.

SOUTH SALT LAKE — An 18-year-old documented gang member has been arrested and accused of shooting three people in South Salt Lake a week ago.
Damien Marco Flores was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail early Saturday for investigation of three counts of aggravated assault resulting in serious injury, three counts of shooting a gun and causing injury and theft.
On Feb. 8, two men and a teen were shot near 251 E. Royal Garden Terrace.
"Spent shell casing were found in the courtyard in front of the listed address. Blood trails were identified leading…away from the scene," according to a police booking affidavit.
Shortly after officers arrived at the scene, the three victims were dropped off at a local hospital by a friend.
"A juvenile male had non-life-threatening wounds. An adult male had gunshot wounds to either shoulder and was admitted in critical but stable condition. A second adult male was had one gunshot wound to the chest and two to the abdomen," police wrote in the affidavit.
Witnesses told detectives the three victims had been in an altercation with a man "wearing a blue long sleeve shirt that had rhinestones and said 'Spider,'" and they heard someone address the alleged shooter by that moniker, according to the affidavit.
Investigators learned that Flores frequently goes by the name "Spider."
"Detectives also located images of (Flores) where he is seen holding a black pistol that has an attachment resembling what appears to be a laser," the affidavit states.
Friday night, police located Flores in an apartment in Salt Lake City and after keeping surveillance on him, took him into custody early Saturday, police state in their affidavit.
"A search warrant was obtained for (his) residence and his vehicle. In the (Flores') apartment, detectives located the blue shirt with 'Spider' written on it. In (his) vehicle, police located a black handgun with a laser attachment," according to the affidavit.
The gun was determined to be stolen out of Taylorsville.
