ROOSEVELT — Two people were killed in a head-on crash Monday morning in Duchesne County between Myton and Roosevelt.

The crash, which occurred before 7 a.m., involved a pickup truck and a passenger car, according to Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Cameron Roden. Both drivers were killed. No other passengers were in the vehicles.

U.S. 40 is closed in both directions near mile marker 109, and vehicles are being rerouted on other roads. Roden said they anticipate the roads will be closed for about two to three hours.

A second crash occurred at the same location, but it caused no injuries.
