DRAPER — A woman has died as a result of a crash with a dump truck on I-15 Tuesday evening, according to state troopers.
The crash happened on southbound I-15 near the Point of the Mountain, according to Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Mike Alexander.
Alexander said a dump truck hauling a flatbed was stopped on the right shoulder of the freeway when it was hit from behind by a car.
"The driver of the dump truck did not sustain any injuries, but the female driver of the passenger car suffered fatal injuries," he said.
Alexander said drivers in the area can expect delays as the right two lanes of traffic will be closed for "a few hours" while crews investigate the crash.
