OGDEN — Police are investigating a shooting in Ogden that is believed to have left one man injured on Sunday.

After receiving a call at about 8:55 p.m., police recovered multiple shell casings from the street near 35th Street and Jefferson Avenue, according to Ogden Police Lt. Shane Keyes. Officers also found superficial structural damage to a residence in the area.

One man was dropped off at the hospital with a gunshot wound to his back later Sunday evening and police believe the injury is related to the shots that were fired, Keyes said. The man is expected to survive.

Police say there is no ongoing danger to the community, but Keyes said he could not confirm whether police have a suspect in custody, as the investigation is ongoing.
