COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS — Ridgeline made a statement Friday night, overwhelming Brighton in every phase of the game in a 41-0 shutout victory to stay unbeaten on the season.
Quarterback Nate Dahle led the way for the Riverhawks, tossing five touchdown passes and adding a rushing score. His go-to target, Graham Livingston, hauled in three touchdowns, including a 30-yard catch-and-run score in the fourth quarter.
With the performance, Livingston moved into seventh all-time for career receiving yards in Utah high school history, while Dahle continued to climb the record books in passing yards and completions.
Hunter Knighton added two touchdown grabs — one in the first quarter to open the scoring and another late in the third to extend the lead to 34-0.
Running back Noah Fiafia provided steady production on the ground to complement Dahle's big night through the air.
Ridgeline's defense was just as impressive as its offense. The Riverhawks tallied four sacks and forced multiple turnovers, including a key fumble recovery in the first quarter and an interception by Livingston that set up his own touchdown.
Junior pass rusher Krew Jones, rated Utah's top recruit in the Class of 2027, was dominant up front, recording multiple sacks and applying constant pressure.
Coen Richards and Cooper Clark added to the defensive stand, while Landon Perkins capped the night with Ridgeline's fourth sack late in the fourth quarter.
Brighton entered the matchup with optimism surrounding its young talent and newly renovated campus, but the Bengals struggled to find rhythm against Ridgeline's speed and physicality.
Sophomore quarterback Judah Naweli, who came in as the state's Player of the Week, was bottled up by the Riverhawks' pass rush and secondary.
Brighton's lone highlight came in the first half when Dax Matheson intercepted Dahle, but the Bengals were unable to turn the takeaway into points.
Ridgeline (3-0) will return home next week with momentum and expectations high as the Riverhawks continue to push toward a state title run. Brighton (1-2) will look to bounce back on the road against Crimson Cliffs.
