SOUTH JORDAN, Utah — A 31-year-old man died Saturday night after a car turned into the path of two northbound motorcycles on Redwood Road, according to police.

The crash happened at about 10:16 p.m. near 10400 South, Sgt. Eric Anderson with the South Jordan Police Department said. Two motorcycles were traveling north on Redwood Road when a southbound car turned left into the Smith's grocery store parking lot and hit one of the motorcyclists, Anderson said.

The driver of the car stopped immediately, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, Anderson said. Police do not suspect intoxication but are still looking into other possible contributing factors.

The motorcyclist who was hit was pronounced dead at the scene, Anderson said. His identity has not yet been released pending notification of family.

The crash remains under investigation by South Jordan police.
