SALT LAKE CITY — A construction truck pulling a flatbed trailer rolled over on the northbound I-15 to westbound I-80 interchange Monday afternoon, causing a small brush fire and closing ramps with access to both freeways.

The truck driver told Utah Highway Patrol that a vehicle cut him off while he was driving along northbound I-15 to westbound I-80, causing him to lose control of his vehicle. The trailer, which held construction equipment, rolled over and blocked the northbound I-15 to westbound I-80 ramp, according to UHP.

The ramp from 500 South to westbound I-80, and the northbound ramp from I-15 to westbound I-80, were closed temporarily after the crash.

The driver who cut off the truck driver did not stay at the scene. No other vehicles were involved, and there were no injuries.
