SLC Puck podcast: Could Utah take a swing at Brad Marchand?

SALT LAKE CITY — The NHL offseason is heating up as the draft approaches this week, and all eyes are on what Utah might do with the fourth overall pick.

SLC Puck host Austin Facer believes the pick is firmly on the trade block, but that's not the only storyline swirling around the Mammoth.

Some of the league's top insiders are now linking Utah to one of the most polarizing names in hockey: Brad Marchand.

Nicknamed "The Rat" for his agitating style of play, Marchand just won a Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers after being dealt from Boston at the trade deadline. Despite being 37, he's expected to be one of the most sought-after free agents on the market this summer thanks to his leadership, playoff experience, and still-potent game.

Facer says, only half-kidding, that Utah's reputation as an ice cream capital might just sweeten the deal.
