Officer Tiffany Mitchell said the car that was turning left T-boned an oncoming vehicle, "which then hit two pedestrians" who were walking on the sidewalk.
Both pedestrians were taken to the hospital with "serious injuries," according to police.
Mall Drive was closed to traffic from Red Cliffs Drive to 450 North, Mitchell said.
