SALT LAKE CITY — A man arrested Tuesday for allegedly robbing a bank is also a suspect in other bank robberies in the county, according to police.
Dennis Lindsay Dyches, 57, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of robbery.
On Feb. 27, a man walked into America First Credit Union, 1360 S. Foothill Drive, and handed the teller a note stating, "This is a robbery," according to a police booking affidavit.
The man was recorded on surveillance video leaving in a black SUV. On Tuesday, Salt Lake police spotted that vehicle and identified Dyches as the same man who robbed the bank, the affidavit states. After arresting him, police served a search warrant on Dyches' home and reported finding some of the stolen money in his wallet.
Dyches is suspected of being involved in at least two other bank robberies in Salt Lake County, the affidavit alleges.
