(KSL News) -- A man in a wheelchair might be dead, had it not been for three Good Samaritans.
Wanda Porter, Good Samaritan: "He would have died within a minute or two, he was going."
The man fell into an irrigation ditch near 9th East and 41st South. He had a massive head wound and his wheelchair was on top of him.
Three people came to the rescue. They got him out of the water, called 9-1-1, and put some pressure on his head wound.
Monty Lerand, Good Samaritan: "Well anybody would, right? Get in there somebody's in trouble, help 'em out. Doesn't matter who they are. Could be your mom, your dad, your kids whatever, you. So you know, just help out that's all."
The victim is doing well at the hospital.
Responding firefighters say the heroic acts saved the man's life.
