SALT LAKE CITY – Three men have been arrested in connection with a gang-related shooting in downtown Salt Lake City on Aug. 10, police announced Saturday.

Police say they were investigating a fight at the On Top Lounge near 320 S. State .at around 1 a.m., between known Norteno gang members when they heard multiple gunshots near their location.

The exchange, which happened on State Street just north of the district courthouse, injured a 24-year-old woman and left a man in critical condition. "He is expected to survive and remains in the hospital," according to police.

Investigators say they are still trying to figure out if there was any connection between the initial fight and the shooting.

During the fight, witnesses saw a gun fall out of 22-year-old Raymond Gallegos' waistband, according to a police booking affidavit. Gallegos, of Ogden, was arrested on investigation of possessing a weapon on felony probation.

A 32-year-old Taylorsville man, who police have not named, was booked into Salt Lake County Jail the next day for investigation of "numerous felony charges unrelated to the shooting investigation." He is suspected of being involved in the shooting and "criminal charges against him are pending," according to investigators.

Friday, another Ogden man, 30-year-old Devin Bradley, was arrested after police say a search warrant uncovered "drugs, weapons, and other potential evidence" from the Aug. 10 shooting. He was booked into the Weber County Jail, the press release said.
