SALT LAKE CITY — A 41-year-old man was shot and killed in the Glendale neighborhood late Monday.

Police were called to an apartment at 1600 W. Snow Queen Place just before midnight. Officers arrived to find an unresponsive man on the floor of the apartment, according to a statement from the police department.

"Paramedics and officers performed lifesaving aid, but the man died on scene," police said. "The specific circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation. However, this appears to be an isolated incident."

The identity of the victim has not been released. As of Tuesday morning, no arrests have been made. Police say no one else was in the apartment when officers arrived and the victim did not live there. However, "someone known to the victim" is believed to have called 911, police stated.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 801-799-3000.
