CEDAR CITY — A man who pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated assault in connection with a stabbing incident in Cedar City last September has been sentenced to prison.
Tyler Forrest Davis, 30, was sentenced on Tuesday to two terms of zero to five years in Utah State Prison by 5th District Judge Jeffrey C. Wilcox, who ordered that the sentences run consecutively.
As previously reported, Davis was arrested Sept. 14, 2023, by Iron County Metro SWAT officers following an hourslong manhunt. Just before midnight the night before, Davis had allegedly stabbed two other men with a knife during an altercation on Brook Street, then fled the scene.
Several hours later, Davis and his girlfriend Bandy Rose Miller were tracked down by police and arrested at a residence in a mobile home park a few blocks away from the initial incident.
