SALT LAKE CITY — The second of two gunmen accused of shooting at each other in April in Salt Lake City has been arrested.
Christian Miramontes, 24, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on Wednesday for investigation of discharging a firearm and causing injury, aggravated assault and theft.
On Tuesday, Luis Alejandro Alfaro Munguia, 24, of Kearns, was charged in 3rd District Court with aggravated assault resulting in serious injury and two counts of shooting a gun causing injury, second-degree felonies; plus obstruction of justice and possession of a gun by a restricted person, third-degree felonies, who his alleged role in the same incident.
On April 6, Salt Lake police responded to the area of 1050 W. 300 South on a report of a shooting. Investigators found Miramontes, who had a bullet hole in his front driver's side window and had also been shot in his left arm and right thigh, according to charging documents.
Police say Miramontes "was uncooperative with the investigation and he was transported to the hospital for his injuries."

Salt Lake police are investigating an early morning shooting that happend April 6 and injured two men.Detectives with the city's gang unit served a search warrant at Miramontes' residence and reported recovering five guns, including a stolen rifle. While officers were still on the scene, and about 90 minutes after they were initially called, police were notified that Alfaro had shown up at a local hospital with gunshot wounds to his abdomen and forearm, the charges state. Initially, he claimed he was caught in the crossfire between two other parties shooting at each other.
Detectives, however, later were able to collect two shell casings and surveillance video from a school at 1115 S. 300 West. The video allegedly shows Alfaro and Miramontes arriving in separate cars and getting out.
"A physical struggle occurs. A muzzle flash appears to go off and Alfaro Munguia runs to (his car) then runs to (Miramontes' car) and extends his arm as if he were holding a firearm to (the car's) driver's side window where the bullet hole was later discovered," according to the charges.
