Detectives with the city's gang unit served a search warrant at Miramontes' residence and reported recovering five guns, including a stolen rifle. While officers were still on the scene, and about 90 minutes after they were initially called, police were notified that Alfaro had shown up at a local hospital with gunshot wounds to his abdomen and forearm, the charges state.
