SPANISH FORK — Officials released the identity of the man who crashed into a tree and died after an alleged road rage incident in Spanish Fork last month.

Spanish Fork police received a 911 call about an "aggressive driver" about 2:15 a.m. on April 26. The caller told police another driver was following him and trying to ram into his vehicle.

Police say an officer attempted a traffic stop on the driver, but the driver fled the scene. Once the officer caught up to the fleeing vehicle, he found it had crashed into a large tree in front of a residence at 500 N. 400 East.

The officer administered medical aid, but the driver died on the scene. Police later identified the driver as Calvin Zakery Grace, 27, of Springville.

The Utah County Sheriff's Office is conducting the investigation into the crash.
