RUSH VALLEY, Tooele County — A 21-year-old woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash on state Route 73 Friday morning, according to state troopers.

The crash occurred just east of Rush Valley and the junction with state Route 36 at about 7:30 a.m., according to the Utah Department of Transportation. Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cam Roden said the driver — who was the only occupant — was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

More information about what caused the crash was not available, and the woman's identity has not been released.

Both lanes of traffic on state Route 73 were closed for several hours, but reopened by late morning, according to UDOT.
